Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural catastrophes for more than 45 years. Her focus is on the suffering of people within these zones. Curry has covered the wars in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. Ann Curry, (born November 19 1956 Agana American journalist and television news reporter and anchor who was best known for her role as a reporter for the Today show which is a morning news show that was telecast by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry is well-known for her reporting of human-rights crises as well as natural disasters and natural disasters, particularly in countries which have suffered the effects of the war. Curry's father was an sailor within the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. The couple met when her father was stationed in Japan shortly after World War II. Her father served active in the army and her family was forced to relocate quite a bit. Curry attended High School in Ashland Oregon. Her graduation with a journalist diploma from the University of Oregon in 1978. Finally, she graduated Ashland High School. When she was an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon she had the foundation for an extensive and profitable television career. She became the only female reporter at the station's history at age 22. Later, she moved into the post of anchor and reporter at KGW which was an NBC station in Portland, Oregan. After four years, she moved back to Los Angeles as a reporter for KBS-TV. Over the course of her six years working for the station, she received the award of two Emmy Awards.
